Major Confidence and Addressing Student Concerns

Many students enter your institution with a "Declared" major. Declared is not decided. See how one institution leveraged proactive data to identify and help students get on the right track and move to Meta Majors.

  • Only 36% were "Confident" in their current major
  • 43% were concerned about being able to pay for their education
  • 30% felt academically unprepared, and 28% indicated they have concerns about motivation and goal setting.
  • Students also selected interest groups to get involved on campus. Individual notifications were sent to department heads for each interest group to reach out to students on campus.
